Highfields

A design and façade that suits a larger north facing allotment. The Highfields is a traditional colonial plan disguised around a thoroughly modern functional design within.

The layout includes abundant windows to the northern frontage and reduced verandas, that would normally be part of this colonial look. The northern verandas would reduce the winter sun ingress, so are very detrimental to the winter energy outcome. The roofed outdoor living areas are placed to south of the home, so it doesn’t exclude the winter sun and is a more private space.
