Geoff started working in the building industry in Toowoomba with a local building business in the early eighties and then had time managing construction companies on the Sunshine Coast, Cairns and in Brisbane.
This broad building industry experience helped him transition from working for building companies to establishing his own company. In 1990 Geoff built his first home under his company name Geoff Gibson Homes. Geoff has been operating Geoff Gibson homes for three decades and has completed over eight hundred homes. Geoff Gibson Homes continues to design and build quality custom homes, earning a reputation for optimising energy efficiency through smart design, improved orientation, and product innovation.
Creating Environmentally friendly Passive Homes is Geoff’s priority, using products and design strategies that assist in crafting a more sustainable outcome. These basic principles have been integrated into every Geoff Gibson Home.
In 2009 he received his GreenSmart accreditation through the HIA and he has spent the last 13 years researching environmentally sustainable homes. We are always looking to incorporate new methods and materials to improve our homes and keep moving towards a more sustainable future.
Geoff Gibson Homes was awarded the HIA–CSR Queensland GreenSmart Energy Efficiency Home of the Year in 2016 for the 9 STAR “Satori” Display Home. The home was also GreenSmart Accredited and has incorporated many adaptable features to make the home more comfortable to live in.
